OK I went ahead and started watching Season 5. I just saw the episode with Clark being exposed to silver Kryptonite (or is it really Kryptonite?).
Now I know I missed a few episodes from the beginning of the season. I have a few questions and suspicions.
The professor: is that suppose to be Brainiac?
Someone sent Clark a note and messages that they knew his secret. Hmmm. . . other than the very few people in Smallville who know his secret (who are still alive), there aren't that many people who know his secret. Dr. Swan and his assistant are dead. The only other person I can think of who has the resources on the same level as Dr. Swan (other than the Luthors) would be Bruce Wayne. I think the timing is just about right, he's wealthy, powerful, and his detective skills may be sharp enough to bring him into Clark's life. The only other person I can recall who knows Clark's secred is Bart Allen (Kid Flash).
Any other guesses?

Re: Season 5
Sat, November 12, 2005 - 1:49 AMThe "I know your secret" thing started after he was pricked by the silver stone... while he was halucinating. All of his halucinations centered around people discovering his secret and betraying him by revealing his secret. So, as an audience we still don't know what was real and what wasn't... at times.
I believe the stone was sent by Brainiac (especially given the ending scene). I don't think any of the "I know your secret" stuff was true. I have a creeping feeling that we will find out that was all delusion produced by Brainiac who of course will ultimately betray Clark after gaining his confidence. Gaining his confidence is also a reason to suspect this was all his doing. He wants Kal-el to know he is the ONLY one he can trust.

Re: Season 5
Sat, November 12, 2005 - 7:31 AMWhew. Thanks for that post. I wanted to believe it was Brainiac. Face it, there are no other surviving Kryptonians except for Supergirl, General Zod, and the population of Kandor. Braniac would have to be the only thing that has full knowledge of Krypton and be able to mimic Kryptonian abilities on Earth.
You're right, I was chatting with another gal who's still not quite accepting all of the "secret" confrontations. There are just too many probabilities that most of the stuff we saw were just hallucinations. I bet you that wasn't even silver kryptonite. . .
