Okay folks, we all saw the season premiere last nite. Now what's your thoughts. I thought it was pretty good. And the end with James Marsters was great. I think they are really setting up this season to be a big one sense people are saying this might be the last season. I really don't think so. Unless it is the last season and it coincides with the release of the new Superman movie. Now I already saw who James Marsters character is, did any of you guys figure it out? Or did you check on-line like I did?

Re: Season Premiere
Sun, October 2, 2005 - 12:04 AMI knew who he was before the show even aired. I like this episode and many more to come I am pretty sure I will like.

Re: Season Premiere
Sun, October 2, 2005 - 3:50 PMI'm not one to look up spoilers, so I didn't know this was coming, which made it even better.
I've been begging for Zod to show up since Smallville started. Every time something happened that could have theoretically led to his appearance, I'd be all "cmon! Zod! It's gotta be Zod! KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!" When I saw the two Kryptonians emerge from the wreckage at the beginning of the episode, the first thing I said was "they better get someone cool to play Zod." "Who?" "I don't know, but someone cool." Well... I approve of the selection. :)
---
I am, however, a little disapointed that they just dropped the entire storyline with Jason and his mother. I didn't feel like ANYTHING about them had been resolved and now they've just been unceremoniously killed off. Oh well, I suppose. -

Mon, October 3, 2005 - 4:22 AMYeah, thanks, someone else already ruined it for me. Brainiac is cool and all, but I wish it were Zod. Bah. This is why I don't read spoilers in magazines. Oh well.

Re: Season Premiere
Sun, October 2, 2005 - 9:36 PMi hate how smallville kills or gets rid of most villians in an episode. Most heros are defined by the villians they have.. hell let some live..
shit Lex is at last becoming a villian( at least to me ).. i hope he isn't teaming up with Brainic .. then it's like they got lazy and copied JL unlimited.
The Zod followers could have bee a sub plot to tie in with Brainic or maybe help create a pre JLA(maybea 3 episide arc)..have clark, Diana, Bruce And Arthur battle itogether.
I would actually think Authur should lead this "JLA" since he's a Prince or King.. and it would be in his nature to get things going. -

Re: Season Premiere *!SPOILER ALERT!*
Sun, October 2, 2005 - 10:53 PMBUZZZZ!!! Wrong. Read TV Guide. Arthur will be in collage. Leading me to supsect that he just left the lighthouse. He doesn't find out about his roots as an Alantian, or royal heritage until a little futher down the road.
And, as for Zod. Jugding by the special fx, they're really trying hard to stay true to the movie, too. Do not expect to see Zod, this season, or ever on the show. But he will be a shadow over Clark now. And Clark, will come to realize that Jor-El, has been testing, and grooming him from the begining, to face a threat as big as Zod, or Brainiac.
And, is just me, or are G&M including Brainiac this season, as a lead in to Superman Returns? Maybe the big villan of the movie. They have been having some mettings with Brian Singer over the summer.

Re: Season Premiere *!SPOILER ALERT!*
Mon, October 3, 2005 - 4:23 AMYeah I've also been getting a feeling that they're trying to use Smallville to lead into Superman Returns, especially if this really is the final season. -

Re: Season Premiere *!SPOILER ALERT!*
Mon, October 3, 2005 - 4:44 AMI have read that they are going to get it to run up to 7 but not more than 7. I belive they may run the series to 6 seasons. I dont' have the information that I read on hand or what date it was said (it was in an interview with the producers of Smallville)

Mon, October 3, 2005 - 9:09 AMbuzz wrong ???
was that directed to me ??
and the writers have never followeed comic book history. so Arthur can already know his heritage.. he could be a man running /swimming from his future.
